Eurokey announces Quality Initiative

Eurokey Recycling Ltd has recently contacted all its customers highlighting the present difficulties in the Recycling Sector.

We all experienced major difficulties last year when the end market for materials significantly reduced  its demand and discounted the price being paid by over 30%. Although the market rallied in January and has shown reasonable growth since then we feel that the current situation is somewhat fragile and that we may see a downturn in demand.  Our Quality Initiative is a way of increasing the value of the material and also  increases the acceptance level of our material. This is important in times of  weak demand as end users look for reasons to down grade the quality and reduce the price they are prepared to pay for material.

Our Quality Initiative involves us analysing customer’s materials for different plastic types and percentages,  checking for any non plastic contamination, weighing the bale and assessing the overall cleanliness of the product. We can also arrange for the material to be  put through our MRF where appropriate to add more value. By providing the end  users with more detail they can fully appreciate the quality of the material and  offer the appropriate value.” Eurokey Recycling Ltd collects plastic, steel,  cardboard and aluminium from all over the UK. Its customer base includes most  Waste Management Companies, many of the High Street Stores as well as  Supermarkets and Distribution Companies.
